Mary Ellen Hartung is a New Jersey native guitar shredder best known for her lead work with the top drawing all-girl club band "Good Girls Don't." After a successful run with GGD selling out popular venues up and down the East Coast throughout the 90s, Mary Ellen became disillusioned with the music industry's confines and withdrew from the professional music scene for ten years. A staunch non-conformist by nature Mary Ellen has always danced to her own drum. She is a true artist, refusing to be pigeon-holed into any particular genre. Her passion for writing music and playing guitar has been reborn in recent years, inspired by her faith in Jesus Christ. Having little desire to perform in public again, Mary Ellen is currently emerged in composition, experimenting in the studio with various musical forms in order to artistically create her own musical voice and unique style.
