He is the oldest of 5 children and his inspiration in country music came when he was 8 years old while listening to country singers like Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr. just to name a few. Mr. Nelson came up with the lyrics and the song title for his first single country song all in just 30 mines. SITTIN ON THE FRONT STEPS along with 20 other songs Allen wrote are licensed with BMI in Nashville, Tn.
