Minister Gary R. Chatman Gary R. Chatman was born and raised in Rochester, New York. He is the husband of Wanda Chatman and father to 3 sons, Gary Jr. Kyrie and Rasean. Gary discovered at a very young age that he was blessed to sing and has been using his gift to glorify God ever since. At the age of 12 Gary began leading and directing the youth choir where he served for 3 years. From there he went on to direct the young adult choir and served as junior deacon until the age of 17. He then joined his longtime family gospel group called the Spiritual Jubilators as the lead singer. Where he traveled the country ministering in song and recorded 4 albums. Needing to do more, Gary went on to direct the Praise and Worship team and the adult Choir at Tried stone Missionary Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Willie Randle, he began to understand that singing was not the only thing that God had called him to do, and he accepted his call into the ministry in 2001. In 2003 Gary ministered his trial sermon and was licensed by the Baptist church alliance. There Gary served as the Youth Minister for ages 7-17 for 3 years. In April 2006, Gary and his family relocated to Maryland and joined the Empowerment Temple AME church, under the leadership of Dr. Jamal H. Bryant. There he faithfully served on the praise and worship team, The Empowerment Choir and the Men’s Ministry. Gary also completed 2 years of Ministers in training, where he graduated and received his license to preach in August of 2010. Now relocated to Orlando Florida, Gary continues to sing and preach the word of God. He believes that he has been saved to serve and will continue to take every opportunity to tell the world about the goodness of Jesus and to preach Satan’s kingdom down.
