LP started singing from a young age, and even then his talent was recognized. He not only earned top accolades with every singing competition he entered, but was taken on by one of the best vocal coaches and music teachers in the country, Liz Pass from the Sing-Your-Heart-Out Voice Training Institute. Soon he was working with gospel artists Cor Uys and Wian Vos, learning about the gospel industry, sound engineering and ministry. In 2005 he spent a year of his life ministering and volunteering in Johannesburg as well as working for Metropolitan Evangelical Services in Hillbrow. In 2006 he enrolled in Theology College as he knew he was called to ministry. Early in 2007 LP married Jackie and soon became a father to his first daughter Grace. In June 2008 LP and his family moved to the family farm near Bronkhorstspruit to help with a foster home. During this time LP and his wife began giving music and vocal lessons together with another local teacher in the town of Bronkhorstspruit. Also during this time, LP was working with Johan Heystek on his first solo CD, a project close to his heart that took three years to complete. The foster home was eventually handed over to an NGO to continue with the work, and LP was free to pursue his music ministry full time. LP has performed all over the country and has touched many lives through his music and his wonderful ministry. He has performed at many churches, charity events and festivals country-wide and continues to do so. He does not ask a fee for his performances, but depends on God's provision through donations and monthly support to care for his family. He loves the Lord and his passion is to encourage people and enable them to access the love of God. He also challenges people to turn to God in the tough times, and to live radically for Christ. His own life is also a testimony to this, as he lives day-to-day in complete dependence on God. LP’s album “Enigste Gebed” has just been released by Brettian Productions. The album features songs written by Johan Heystek, Wanda Bam and even one from LP’s own pen! The soulful voice, the deep lyrics and the beautiful heart behind the music are evident. Every fan of Josh Groban, Matt Redman or Daniel Kirkley will fall in love with the music instantly. These days LP is still giving music and vocal lessons, but his passion for ministering to people is taking his family of three daughters, himself and his wife all over the country to tell people about the amazing things the Lord has done in their lives, and can do for others.
