The Shape. The Story So Far... The Shape are a newly formed three piece Punk Rock outfit mixing the styles of Punk Rock, Prog Rock and 80s Metal. The trio formed at the start of 2009 and have been writing and recording ever since. Although The Shape are relatively new, they have a large following in their home town of Porthcawl, that continues to grow throughout the South Wales area. They have a dedicated fan base who have loyally followed and supported the band. The Shape are currently recording their first professional album titled "Of Things To Come" with producer Nic Palmer, studio manager at MachineRooms studio [link="http://www.machinerooms.com/"], who has also recorded the likes of The Manic Street Preachers and The Lost Prophets. Editing is just being finished on their first music video "Karmic Retribution" as we speak. So what does the future hold for The Shape? They plan to continue writing new material and recording their first album, whilst playing a number of gigs in and around the South Wales area. Once the album is finished they will be embarking on a Promo tour to gain a wider fan base throughout Britain! Ok it's about time we thanked the people who made our new demo possible, and helped us throughout the process. First of all we would like to thank Mr. Gary Lawson, without whom none of this would have been possible! Let me tell you a bit about Gary. Gary Lawson is the founding member of the LawsonBayley Group. He coordi...nates all activities regarding the 2ward Fruition project (link below). Next we would like to thank Andy Lawton who is responsible for all sound engineering on the 2ward Fruition work shot at the ATRIUM Studios Cardiff (link also below). Andy is a post graduate with a lot of natural talent. And last but certainly not least, studio manager Nic Palmer at Machine Rooms Cardiff (link below). Nic did an amazing job on the demo and hopefully will be working with us on the rest of the album. He has previously worked with artists such as The Manic Street Preachers and The Lost Prophets, and is an absolute wizard behind that desk.
