[color="darkblue"][/color][b]Like many people who sing my kind of music, I started singing in church. My guitar, for me was all about freedom. Freedcom from my Dad, freedom from my noisy and difficult house, freedom from the expectation to work the car factory or on the lorries as Dad did. Music and singing introduced me to worlds populated by aliens I grew to love. I have sung and played in bands ever since, more often tucked in behind the main singer, doing harmonies or playing bad bass. A couple of years ago I stepped away from that and started singing open mikes on my own, singing my own songs; songs about my childhood, about me and my brothers survival and most of all about the importance of love. Maybe not great songs but songs that are simple, meaningful to me and sung from the heart.
