Life is but a dream about performing at local wineries and festivals... "Setbacks are a force every musician must overcome... equipment failures, vocal trauma, arthritic problems from overuse, and even or just as important the 'highs and lows' that performing can bring about (some call it manic depression)... but this does come with the territory. So making it on stage is only a whisper of what it takes to get there. It is good to learn a musician's back story and triumphs and failures getting there... that indeed is what the songs are all about 90% of the time... With Great Expectations comes the anticipation of great things to come on the horizon I am embarking on a couple new projects! AND, I am still WRITING!!! Yes! Music makes my world go round! There are actually 60+ songs, including tunes from the the latest "Notorious One" "Velvet Touch" cd (06), "Wild Women Run With Wolves" (04) and "Halogen Moon" (92)... Not too long back I added-- tracks from the "Reminders" album (89)...which blows my mind...discovering all was not lost after all! Hallelujah!!! This was a five song demo, featuring the songs "Homeless People","In His Life and Time","Message", "Down", and the original version of "Could it Be"... So, I have been at this [b]for years[/b],what is reflected here on this site is just a drop in the bucket of songs written and produced by myself and with others. I have been writing songs (copyright CRoss@'85, '89,'03 & ZZRose @'06,'09) and performing on stage, most recently at the 505 and Coney Island and Falls View Tavern -- all in Oregon City, OR, and Habesha, Secret Garden, Eugenios and the Alberta Street pub,in Portland, OR, along with "Make Music Day" 2015 & 16... I write, play guitar, play a little keyboard /percussion and sing both lead and background vocals. Most of the songs here were [b]self produced [/b]using BR900 system--or else studio recordings. All lyrics have been written & copyrighted by me. [b]"All I Do" was written by David Estes. The music for "Adversity" [i] was performed here by David Estes in Kansas City[/b][/i] for the "VELVET TOUCH" cd. This site also has [b] "Adversity" [remix version 06], "It Ain't Over Yet" "Issues" (orig 03) & "Near Misses" music originally produced by [i]Eric Schroeder in San Diego[/b][/i]). The nine song album "Halogen Moon" was produced at Taylor Made Music in Spring Valley CA, lyrics were written & performed by me, music created & played by Cliff Brossas and Don Young with Kivu S. all in San Diego county. The "Halogen Moon" album track features "9 songs" altogether-- which includes: .So True .My Beloved .Green Lights .What it Is! .Destiny .Wishful Thinking .Aquarian .Touch .CHOICES! Also included on this site is "Greatest Divide", from the "Kult45" cd from a midi project-- sung by me, and written in collaboration with Justin Turner-- keyboards performed by Justin, lead by Dave Roberts and bass by Larry Moiola in San Diego. (I do cover bands when asked (Grace Slick, Aretha, Joni Mitchell, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Allman Bros, Otis Redding, "Jimi", Stevie Ray, Eagles, Journey, Neil Young, Pretenders..lots of classic rock/bluesy stuff, and modern artists Pink, Tracy Chapman and Rihanna etc.) [b]Gospel[/b] is my HEART.
