My band experience began in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where i was born & raised, playing \\\"Funk\\\" and R&B, performing in night clubs, dance halls, concerts, etc. in cities and towns in the tri-state area of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Soul Jazz is my favorite style of Jazz. Soul Jazz was a development of hard bop which incorporated strong influences from blues, gospel and rhythm and blues in music for small groups, often the organ trio which featured the Hammond organ.
