Bio
I'm introducing myself as ST., a young female artist, born and raised in the wild streets of the Lou (St. Louis). At the age of sixteen I decided to venture off on my own. That's when my mom became distant. It wasn't easy thou, imagine not having sixty bucks for some basketball shoes. Thank God Coach Ludgood understood ,{R.I.P.}, she played her part in my life well. I still can't believe she's gone. My pops was a professional boxer, young and in his prime. I can remember like it was yesterday, going to the gym with him and his buddies practicing. LOL After he'd win the fight he would put me up on his shoulder. I was so young but it felt great. Huh I guess it didn't work out with him and my mom cause I didn't see him much any more. My mom was a strong woman thou, she cared for three of us on her own. My first time experiencing HIP HOP was in the mid 80's. I was just a little kid, but my sister was playing all the hits. She was even in a group and they had one song that just stayed in my head. Real catchy. They did a few shows at halls or just showing off for there friends. I thought they were something special. Now my love affair with HIP HOP didn't begin until 2002. Don't get me wrong, I got with friends every chance I could to hang out and have freestyle battles. Who didn't do that type of thing after hearing cats like KRS-ONE, Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee, RUN DMC. But as time went on that wasn't enough for me. I would ride the bus to work and every morning I'd be writing on whatever. Between Kingshighway from Chouteau to Lindell, I would have a whole song. Whether it be about me being late or some cat acting out on the bus. I LOVE MUSIC THIS MY FUTURE. Truthfully speaking I just want to get my music out there. Even if I don't make it to 106 & PARK, underground is world wide. As for as I'm concerned I can be 43 STILL rocking spots like whatever. (YOU KNOW) I mean when I'm up on that stage its a feeling that's indescribable. Especially when the crowd knows your songs. I LOVE IT! Rappers like L. L. and Jay-Z made people respect what they do. My true inspiration to getting serious with my music was my well being. I put all my anger, frustration, love and sadness on paper. It was then that I discovered my true talent. I hope to touch others as I have been. S_TOTHE_T
