A LITTLE INFORMATION: “JO ANN LEWIS” NEW C.D. “DOIN’ IT RIGHT” I went to Nashville,Tennessee February of 2013, to fulfill one of the items on my \"Bucket List\" you might say. I recorded at a major Nashville studio six of my original songs. That was the thrill of a lifetime. I met several stars while I was there, such as: John Anderson, Lynn Anderson, Jeannie Seeley, Joe Diffie and a few more. I had the best musicians in the business and it shows in my songs. My producer Mark Moseley was just great also. His company is called Sound Control. **** I won \\\"First Place\\\" and \\\"Best of Show\\\" for \\\"I\\\'m Just a Shadow\\\", at the Springfield Mo. fair for original music and lyrics in 2007. The contest was open to the whole US. I was quite proud and honored to win....**** I was given an award from the 3rd annual \"Bakersfield\'s Country Music Awards\" in 2009. For my contribution to country music. I was born in California, in the San Joaquin Valley. I have always been interested in music. My uncle, who is now deceased, played the mandolin and spoons and was in a band most of his life. I guess I took after him, as I too play a little mandolin, notice I said a little because I am not that good at it. I do sing with some of the local bands from time to time. I have been compared to Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and a few other artists over the years. I am honored to be compared to Tammy or Patsy. On Father’s Day 2003, I decided to write a poem and dedicate it to my Father and Mother and give it to my Father for Father’s day. It turned out really nice. My Father passed away soon after and I wrote a poem for his eulogy. From then on I was hooked on writing. I started writing poems and then they turned into lyrics for songs. I now love to write as it comes to me naturally, and I guess you could say it is in my blood.But I also have a life long love of singing. I hope to go on writing and being creative for the rest of my life, and give something to everyone that they may enjoy listening too. If I go farther in the music business as a result of my writing or singing, that would be a plus...... I hope your enjoy your visit.... Thank you, Jo Ann
