Angela is a singer/songwriter, NZ bred and residing in Melbourne. Her music performance experience started at the age of 11 years old as a classical pianist, and through the years she has gradually moved on to performing vocals and keys in bands, performing at weddings, along as in various competitions and concerts. MUSIC STYLE: The music Angela writes and performs centre around soul and R’n’B. This is due to the fact that she relates a lot to soul and gospel, a genre that draw inspiration and meaning from the rawness of life and the struggles that are overcome, experiences that she herself draws from. Her experience growing up in the classical and jazz genres required a great deal of discipline in both theory and performance, something which has served her well in transitioning her style into soul and r’n’b. Angela has recently completed writing and producing a set of songs in collaboration with Jhay C of JhayC Music here in Melbourne, Australia. These sets of songs explore a wide range of styles within soul, r’n’b, pop, aimed at showing versatility of style that she is able to perform. In 2009 Angela\\\'s EP was chosen by a company here in Australia as one of the 5 Australian fresh artists to be represented at Cannes Music Festival.
