The band's innovative style is defined by memorable original songs which focus on critical modern themes and are influenced by the musicians’ wide range of experience. 3-part harmonies and an electric harp give the pop/rock sound extra spice, and make MoonSnake unforgettable. MoonSnake have over 20 gigs behind them and they are beginning to move in the mainstream scene. Their song “Freedom” was placed on a UK compilation CD which was presented on MTV Europe (August ’07, on the shows “Spanking New Music” and “Gonzo with Zane Lowe”). This CD is available for sale from iTunes, Amazon.co.uk, CD Baby and Tower Records. Other exciting news includes an invitation to perform at SongFest, a songwriter’s festival in Ireland (November 2008) including 2 performances and a live radio interview; a feature interview on an American website; and three appearances last June at an open-air festival on lake Constance (Rorschach, Switzerland.) The band’s lyricist, Kate Northrop, has just placed as a finalist in a lyric writing contest by the “We are Listening” group www.wearelistening.org Judges include Grammy-award winner Chris Farren. The band is currently working intensely with Zurich-based producer/band coach/technician Remo Clematide, and they have just finished recording their new EP “The Haunting” (4 titles) with him.
