DJ Wingnut AKA Jeff Castle started his journey through music in the summer of 1997 after visiting numerous house / trance events and found himself constantly in the 2nd Arena / room enjoying the frantic drum and bass beats. Purchasing a rubbish set of CD Decks from a High Street retailer to learn to mix he soon realised these didnt cut the mustard and invested in a pair of direct drive turntables and a 1/2 decent mixer he went on to DJ jungle and dnb at various local parties building his mixing skills and enjoying the vibe! After playing at numerous parties, bars, clubs and guest slots on pirate and internet radio he now sepnds his time producing tracks and working on his studio skills while still making appearances for old school / classic sets across the south coast. Influences include Ram Records, Valve, 31 Records, Tru Playaz, Red One, Brockie, Ed Rush, Optical, Virus Recordings, Renegade Hardware and jsut about every other artist on the scene - What makes drum and bass so fresh is that its constantly evolving!!!
