"Acoustic Jazz" is an exciting duo featuring Alicia on vocals and Kayla on acoustic guitar. Despite the fact that they are just a duo they produce a huge sound, without the help of backing tracks since Alicia’s incredible vocal talent is the cherry on the top of Kayla’s unique guitar style, where she performs multiple parts simultaneously on one instrument, often as many as 4 parts( bass line/chords/melody or solo/percussion). They perform a repetoire of jazz standards adapted to their style much in the flavour of the great “Tuck and Patti” They are a perfect blend of a world class vocalist and an international standard guitarist. Kayla has the experience of being a professional musician for many years and has spent 15 years touring and performing both locally and internationally. Kayla has written music for film tracks, teach’s music and has performed numerous sessions. And just completed a jazz/blues album to be toured in 2008. Alicia has despite her tender age of 21 already composed and released a full cd that is receiving airtime on national radio stations. She is also studying classical music. Both Kayla and Alecia are composers, and multi instrumentalists, (guitar/electric bass/upright bass/piano/percussion/drums) skills they hope to use in “Acoustic jazz” in the near future.
