Tanya Bennett is an artist of integrity, class, spirituality, a unique and “special” anointing. After struggling with the mental and emotional chaos of losing her oldest daughter, Tanya believes in her heart that she had to face that crisis in order to “get her life together” and to live the life she sings about. Born and raised in the church under her father’s leadership, Tanya knows the pathway to righteousness but it was only the death of her child that “forced” her to follow that path. Tanya has written and copyrighted over 100 songs in the Library of Congress. Songs entitled, “Gone Away”, “Strengthen Me”, “Be At Rest”, “Enough Is Enough”, “Best Friend”, “Deliver Me”, “I’m Bouncin’ Back”, and now her 2006 release, “He Cares”. First performed in November 2005, the ministry and message of “He Cares” filled the auditorium with such a high anointing that everyone in the midst felt the presence of the Lord. Not only does Tanya have the ability to minister through song but she also serves as a Youth Counselor and a strong advocate for community assistance and improvement. Tanya has shared the stage with many gospel legends such as Shirley Ceasar, Byron Cage, Deidric Hadden, Dottie Peoples, Yolanda Adams, Albertina Walker, Lashun Pace, Stephen Hurd, Dorothy Norwood, Darrell McFadden, Slim & The Supreme Angels, Jackson Southenaires, and Tye Tribbett. While pursuing her solo career, Tanya also sings lead vocals with the Honorable Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music of Washington, DC and can be heard on Patrick’s latest release, “In the Fellowship”. Tanya sings lead vocals to “No Rocks” on this latest release and can be seen on BET’s Video Gospel performing on the “In The Fellowship” music video.
