Bio
In April of 2008, I was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and acute pancreatic failure. Within three days I suffered respiratory failure, kidney failure and liver failure and was in a coma for about a month. I could never begin to tell you of the horrible nightmare this was as I battled more demons than I could ever have imagined existed. The physicians attending me notified my family, my children, that there was no hope for a recovery and that they should make any necessary arrangements. As my daughters returned from a FINAL meeting with the doctors, they found me awake and trying to communicate! The doctors and medical staff found this to be incredible and called it impossible. Just before that time, I too had given up and prepared to take my last breath when God intervened and told me I was not going to die, there was work to do. During the pas t year, I have fought a grueling battle to recover. I have done so and now have committed my life to serve God. Although I have not sung much or in public at all, I am hoping that will change and I intend to record some Christian music as soon as resources permit. If there was ever any doubt, there is none now, God is good and real. May God Bless you all and keep you in his light. Any prayers you might care to offer I would appreciate them greatly. Tommy Jay has had a life-long ambition to be a performer. His grandmother reminded him it all started when he tried to rent the civic auditorium at age 13 to put on a show. He has performed in many community theaters over the years, sang in piano bars, and karaoke bars, hosted karaoke shows, played the role of master of ceremonies for civic events, sang in churches. Tommy has also performed at Johnny High's Country Music Review in Arlngton, Texas and at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth. Now that he is near retirement from the active work force, he is dedicating his energies entirely to the performing arts. Tommy has no formal music training and does not play any instrument which is absolutly "amazing" to the recordists who have worked with him,who say that he has "...one of the richest baritones they have ever heard."
