The Too Drunk to Fish Band is not only a good time party band, they are an attitude, a way of life. Their music, as well as their persona, says "have fun and live life to it's fullest." Starting out as a project to back up the solo efforts of Lorraine Davies, the Too Drunk to Fish Band became an entity of their own. Taking the amazing vocal abilities of female singer Lorraine Davies, the band has added high energy, a exciting blend of rock, celtic, country, and blues, the addition of lead male vocalists and harmonizing, and created the ultimate party band. The band has played at some of the most renowned venues, fairs, festival, and events throughout Ontario. They have opened for major acts such as the Fables, Wednesday, Aaron Lines, Deric Ruttan, and Brian McComas. Wherever there is a function that needs toe tappin', good time, party music, you will find Lorraine Davies and the Too Drunk to Fish Band! The band has played at such places as the Horseshoe Tavern, Healeys, the Legendary Red Dog Tavern, Merrickville Music Festival, Hillside Hoedown, Stampede Ranch, Brampton Canada Day Festivities, Ajax Waterfront Festival, Whitby Music Festival, the Corral, Beatties in the Country, Dallas City Limits, Wild Stallion, Tequila Willys, and is a regular at Durham College/UOIT at Shagwells on the Ridge, to name a few! Right off the start the band was getting attention with the name. Venues and festivals were hiring them almost on the name alone. Once they heard Lorraine's voice though, they were hooked. They have been seen and heard on TV, radio, and written about in many major papers and magazines. For more politically correct functions, that band goes by the name "The Lorraine Davies Band." Lorraine Davies - Originally from Scarborough, now an Ajax, Ontario resident, this multi-talented vocalist, songwriter, and performer, has to be heard to be believed. Singing all her life, but professionally in just recent years, this lady is getting recognition and fans wherever she performs. She can sing country, rock, blues, alternative, and pop, all with the same energy and uniqueness. Not only is she the lead singer for the Too Drunk to Fish Band, she is the lead singer for the rock band LaRain, as well as performs in two musical duos, Davies and Wayne, and La Barr and Davies. Her first single to radio in Europe was country, and it went to number one in several countries, and was number 3 for all of Europe. All Lorraine just wants to do is perform and sing! Robert Wayne - Originally from Kingston, now residing in Ajax, Ontario, Robert is a vocalist, guitar, and banjo player, for the band. Starting at the early age of 14, he has played for such bands as the Rideau River Grass Band, Country Cougars, and Southern Rain. Taking time off from music to get a real job, married, divorced, married, divorced, finally find Lorraine and get married one more time, he has come back to thing he loves so much... music. A talent for performing uptempo oldies, country, and rock tunes, he also likes to talk, sing, write, and perform, about things on the lighter side of life. Robert performs with two duo acts, Davies and Wayne, with Lorraine, and Buck and Buzz, with Scott. Currently seeking sponsorship from a Canadian Brewery. Scott Crawford - Originally from Scarborough, Scott now resides in Ajax, Ontario. After seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show he realized at very early age that he wanted to play music on stage. Originally, a guitar player and vocalist, Scott switched over to play bass guitar (and shut his mouth) with coaxing from Robert. Now the regular bass player for the band, Scott, a pre-Too Drunk To Fish original, was a fill in from the very start. He is the co-writer of the bands European hit "Me and My Man". Robert and Scott are usually getting in trouble together somewhere, and have even formed their own un-politically correct musical duo, Buck and Buzz. Also seeking sponsorship, from a Scotch distillery. Frank Russell - 35 years in the biz, born and raised in Hamilton, now residing in Pickering, Ontario. Frank currently teaches students(his rugrats) the way of the drum. He has a rap sheet of adventures too long to list here but notables are: The Redding festival with Lee Aaron in England; touring with Moxy; The Sunny Days festival in Peterborough with Plateau; The Rock n Roll Revival at Nathan Phillips Square with Cox, Wiggins and Moore; played at an entertainment conference in Boston with the Downchild Blues Band. Besides the Too Drunk to Fish Band, Frank currently plays for a classic rock band called Roadhouse, as well as rock and original band Ten Mile Drive. Major influences include Bill Bruford, Billy Cobham, John Bonham, Krupa, Rich and Bellson. Lead guitarist, fiddle player, singer Bruce Nasmith bring an amazing combination of Celtic and Blues to the band. This man has made a career of music all his life and it shows when he plays! The kids are grown; the mortgage is paid; and it's time to party! Lorraine Davies and the Too Drunk to Fish Band are the perfect example that you should never give up on your dreams, and it is never too late to try! All they want to do though... is play!
