Growing up in Piotrków Trybunalski, MNGST listened to his grandfather-conductor playing the violin and his mother playing the piano. He became infected with HipHop culture in 1988, when he played a cassette tape of Run DMC in walkman. He started writing song lyrics in 1991, inspired by Kazik's rap-based album "Spalam si?". In 1993, MNGST became the vocalist of the rapcore group Soundproof Soup and also started making beats, inspired by high-school friend [tetno], from whom he received the Fast Tracker program and an adapter enabling him to sample cassettes from the Hitachi boombox.????His musical taste was influenced by DJs:Krush,Muggs,Primo&Timbo,MCs: Rakim,KRS1,B-Real,Zack deLaRocha,Q-Tip, Meth, Nas, Armstrong,Coltrane&Gershwin.
