Bio
On June 10, 1983 in New York ....Austine "SUPANOVA" Martinez was born. Austine (whose mother is Puerto Rican and father is Dominican), grew up in the birth place of urban music: The Boogie Down Bronx. His style is a reflection of his musical influences: Jay-Z, Notorious BIG, Vico- C, Tono Rosario, Tito Rojas, R.Kelly, and Bob Marley just to name a few. At the age of 17 he started his singing career as a backup singer with his father: the salsa legend Raulin Rosendo. Everyone that hears him notices his one and only soulful voice. Thus the nickname "El Diferente" which is Spanish for "The Different One" alluding to his genuine singing voice that is different than many of the artists in the genre. SUPANOVA starts to create a fan base in his neighborhood; the Morris Heights section of the Bronx. At the age of 19, he stops singing with his father to follow his dreams of becoming a Latin Urban Music artist. With an appearance in DJ Green Lantern's "My Space Takeover" which featured the best independent artists across the country, SUPANOVA's reputation continues to grow. He was the only Latin Urban artist to make the final cut on that historic mixtape. A feat that to this day is uncontested (the first independent Latin Urban Artist to be on a major all Hip-hop mixtape). With a one of a kind voice, SUPANOVA is the star artist of Abzolute Music and comes with a style that is much needed in Latin Urban Music genre...The soul......the most powerful voice...... SUPANOVA "El Diferente"
