Dust is based in Bloemfontein, South Africa. In 2002, 2 brothers and 2 friends founded "LoveScarr", a hard-rock act with influences the likes of Metallica, Seether, Linkin Park.. Sadly, this rocking quartet was torn apart to a premature death in early 2003. In 2007, after numerous distractions, the brothers regrouped as CubbStone and was soon joined by the beautiful and talented Rae, after which the band was re-named to Dust. After all, isn't that what we are..? And then she left in persuit of a solo carreer..but the name along with the friendship remains. Dust performs in Afrikaans and English.. The first song, Dromers, is about having faith in your dreams and facing your fears (especially the fear of failure) head-on! It was recorded in my "bedroom studio" on a Pentium D using a FastTrack Pro interface, Radium MIDI controller, FL Studio7, Yamaha APX-4A, Ibanez Ergodyne, Roland Cube60 and a Shure PG57 mic.
