Josh Pierce remembers the first time he sang in front of a large crowd in church in his hometown Glendale Arizona. Born in Battle Creek, Michigan in March of 1981 his grandfather always said he had a "knack for music". Able to keep a beat at the young age of 4 he became very interested in music. He started singing in the church childrens choir and eventually joined the school band playing the trumpet. Over the years his music continually progressed and began to flourish. At the age of 20 he joined the United States Marine Corps but kept his music a priority in his life. After being discharged he began to rodeo on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's Sierra Circuit in California. During the rides to the rodeo and even before his ride he continued to keep his pad and pencil close by. Now at the age of 25 and after playing in numerous bars throughout Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale, Goodyear, and Avondale he traveled to The Cavern recording studios to record his first single titled "Friends Before Lovers". The song was written by a close friend of Josh's and he believes strongly in the message it sends. His passion is his music and continues to drive him to push further into his career. Hopefully with a little luck and his passion his name will become a household name in Country Music and launch him into a new level in his career. Josh spent many years of his life following his dreams which included music, rodeo, and just trying to lead a "normal life". Together with his friend Matt Farris he's played many shows in places he normally wouldn't have the oppourtunity to. His sound only gets better with time and his live shows will blow your mind. His ballads can melt your heart while his more upbeat tunes can keep a dancefloor packed all night long. Josh enjoys spending time out hunting, fishing, and doing other "redneck" type things. He's very proud of his children and the way that they live their lives. Josh's bullriding career was abruptly ended after a serious head injury in North Carolina in late 2003. After finding his way back to Arizona he decided that music was his true passion and his talent. He started talking with other musicians that he knew and came across while going out with friends and began to build his own style. Josh still enjoys doing some of the more entertaining things in life such as Karaoke, Dancing, and just hanging out with some of his close friends. Josh has always been an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society and other non profit organizations. After years of work his music is starting to make it's way into the hearts and minds of his fans. Josh wishes to thank all of those people who have supported him on this long road in his music career. Those Special people include Anthony DeJesus, Chris Canella, Jason Johnston, His mom Fran Pierce, Matt Farris, Carl with SLAM Magazine, and many many more. Josh firmly believes that without those supporters and fans his music would have never been propelled to the level it is today. So stick around a while and get to know Josh and his music.
