[color="green"][/color] Born in a small town in northern Georgia, Shaun (Hawke) Thompson started playing guitar at the age of 9, and the original threesome of his best friend Tommy Hudson,lead guitar and vocals- and John Anderson (The Hunter) on drums, the threesome quickly by mid teens had obtained a measure of local popularity. Picking up keyboardist Bubba Lucas, Pedal steel player Jerry Ledford, and Johns Girl Alicia on rhytmn and vocals, the group branched out to other states and gained immediate welcomes in local and larger venues as time went on. Highlighting their very young careers was a large performance at the American Airlines Colliseum in Texas, and a strategic meeting of several other CMA artists and record company execs. The rest is only to be told in future writups.
