NIKKY CHANG With such grace and style, a new soulful voice has stepped out of the masses and into the spotlight. Nikky Chang, voluptuous in her physique and lyrically brilliant, is ready to conquer the world of rhythm and blues. Born in the Bronx, New York, Nikky Chang grew up listening to R&B and Hip-hop inasmuch that it took over an immense part of her heart. At the tender age of ten, Nikky Chang started creating glossy ballads the second her pen and paper made contact. As she matured, so did her lyrics; her songs became more emotional, more intimate. Her writing content is inspired directly from her personal life experiences. Growing up, Nikky Chang was raised by her single mother who also struggled to raise her younger sister. Life wasn’t always easy because through and through countless hardships arose for this aspiring singer. However, her faith in God and the relentless love she received from her mother constantly reassured her that everything was going to turn out just fine. Despite it all, Nikky Chang claims to have had a great childhood in the “ghetto.” “I had a great childhood in the Bronx. My family was very supportive and affectionate and that made the ghetto beautiful in my eyes." Nikky Chang Throughout her teenage years, trials and tribulations empowered Nikky Chang, ultimately creating a strong-minded independent individual. Her refugee took the form of beats and production, writing and singing… music as a whole. “I always loved music ever since I was four years old. I knew at that age that I wanted to be a singer and that that’s what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. No matter what obstacles I come across, music has always been my escape.” -Nikky Chang Currently Nikky Chang is residing in the beautiful city of Miami. There she is joining forces with producer veteran D’Kanos, who is responsible for most of the production on her first album. Nikky Chang’s album embraces her vocal talent and writing skills. While she continues in the process of working on her second album, Nikky Chang has been catching the attention of many deejays, club owners, and boutiques on South Beach due to her club-banging demo that's being sold independently. Her most recent performance was at the Children's Home Society Christmas event in Miami, which this year showcased, Salsa artist Tito Puente Jr...
