Rubio [link="randyrubio"]http://www.showcaseyourmusic.com/randyrubio[/link] +========================================================================+ My name is Renee Carmine Rubio and I am currently residing in the U.S. although we are originally from the Philippines. I have been singing since I was three years old but did not have formal voice lessons until I turned fifteen. I had my first voice training at the Center for Pop Music of the Philippines. When we moved here, my aunt enrolled me at Oakbrook Academy of Music & Arts in Chicago, Illinois. I am going to be twenty one soon. When I perform, my father, Randy, sometimes accompanies me in the piano and we love to jam together. I also love to sing pop, inspirational, classical, and jazz music. The music showcased here are my father's rearrangements (lyrics have been retained but the melodies are entirely new) of old and traditional Christian hymns in modern musical styles. He learned to play the piano on his own and up to this time can neither read nor write musical notations. He loves these hymns and wanted to give them a more contemporary flavor. The arrangements came to my Dad in sudden bursts of inspiration in the midst of great adversity. We would like to believe that God has granted his desire of expressing these hymns from his heart.
