Bio
Rock this town By Mara Navarro Self-confessed Sanchez groupie Think garage band without the garage and geek rock with a heavy emphasis on geek. From this ungodly amalgamation rises Sanchez, virgins in the music scene but audiophiles in their own right. Then Supersound, Ken Tordesillas started gathering a crew of his own. Meeting a former high school classmate who shared the same life long dream to rock out, Ronnie Neo Boncan became his co-pilot. Ron shares the vocals, guitars, and songwriting with Ken, creating rockin’ alternative and shoegaze tunes for this generation. But as with any striving band, members had differences and the perfect line up was far from happening. Clearly, they needed to create a stronger foundation for their music. Ken and Ron further decide to change the name to Sanchez and have sessionists fill in their missing men. Sanchez played a couple of gigs here and there but nothing that would merit throngs of screaming groupies passing out in the crowd while they played onstage. However, Sanchez managed to cut a three-song demo with different people contributing to it. Highway Girl, Falling Star and Until Then, With You were recorded and mixed. Chalk one up for the music geeks! Later on, Ron managed to score Nicco Nery, as their bassist as Ken also hooked up with Mark Bambico to play drums for them. Finally, the line up was complete and the quad had the makings of a powerful breakout band. They continue to follow the rock and roll dream (and the chicks that come with it). But in the end, the ears of the masses will decide…and will the Rock Gods ever hear the thunderous cries of Sanchez?
