I used to dream about becoming a professional and excellent singer. It never happened because dreams dont happen to you, you make them happen. I have had all kinds of different jobs: cocktail waitress, shoe salesperson, worked only on comission at the malls, sold all kinds of products, multilevel marketing, OK...the list keeps going on and it´s boring. The thing is I really could do this and I was stopping myself unknowingly. I started my carreer a little late although my childhood was mainly at church in San Juan Puerto Rico. It happened that my church was very focused on music and very, very soulful. And it gave the opportunity to be an artist at a very young age. Also, my mother has a beautiful voice and used to be a church singer as well. She always let me be free and taught me to have integrity and honesty and to fight for what you believe to be true, as well as my grandma who both set an example of being a woman and being powerful too. I am very grateful for my friends and incredible musicians and artists from my band EXPRESS. These guys are live [u]legends of Rock in Mexico[/u]. I have received so much wisdom, inspiration and patience from them. They introduced me to this music and I just cant go back to anything else. Just recently we got a recongnition as [u]Best Band[/u] for 60s and 70s music in Mexico. Together we have played at Hard Rock Cafe, Royal Yak, Sound Station as well as many TV shows with Televisa and TV Azteca here in Mexico, sometimes sharing the stage with EL TRI, Javier Batiz, and Eddie Santiago. Right now, looking towards the future, I have a new chance of creating something really cool. I live, work as a full time singer and love Mexico City . It is a very magical place and very spiritual. So I feel at home here although as you may know I am from Puerto Rico and a lot of Puerto Rico is still in me, in my communication, in my music, in my personality. All these things, that are ME...I hope I can transmit through my music. So I am ready now to do something different. I love ROCK music. I love soul music. I love latin music.I love the blues. I actually love all different styles of music but these are my favorites. What I want to create as an artist is a big [u]impact[/u] in peoples lives that makes them want to [u]create more[/u] things and [u]do something [/u]about their lives, their fellow beings and the planet.
