Liz Seaver, a 23 year old singer/songwriter from Skerries Co. Dublin, has a unique musical style that perfectly blends catchy melodies with an alt-folk, rock edge. She has been described as a mix between Tori Amos, KT Tunstell and Sheryl Crow which she is quite happy with. Liz, filled with drive and passion for music from a young age, independantly released her debut album,‘Til The Day Fades In’,in 2005. This solo album highlighted not only her musical ability but the strength of her songwriting talents also. Liz’s voice is relaxed but powerful and along with infectious songs has won over a varied fan base. Landing support acts with Damien Dempsey and Mickey Harte helped her along while boosting her confidence and her profile also. After gaining crucial experience over the last few years it’s obvious that Liz has the potential for greater things. With a bunch of new songs under herbelt Liz has begun recording demos of her latest material. Liz’s live show proves to be a satisfying one with clear, lush vocals and impressive musicianship on guitar and piano. On stage she has an air of confidence but a modest charm about her. Often, Liz is accompanied by two wonderful musicians and friends Eddie Scanlan on percussion/guitar and Sharon Hussey on fiddle/whistle which make for an entertaining show. Recently Liz has been involved in a recording project with Donal Lunny, member of Planxty, The Bothy Band and Moving Hearts, playing piano and singing backing vocals for Peter Baxter’s latest album.
