Prophacy is a twenty-seven year old Midwest born and raised lyrical powerhouse with an original style that has been branded as "VENTURE SOUND" which can only be described as a hybrid mix of Classical singing, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock and Goth sprinkled with a hint of Gospel seasoning. It has been said by other artist such as “Reckless from the United Kingdom” and radio DJ’s such as “Houston / Strongarm from Omaha, Nebraska’s 106.9 The Power” that Prophacy is one of the most stunning stage performers in Hip-Hop today weather it be compared to other underground or even established international artist. As an indie artist Prophacy has even gained respectful comments from established artist such as: Chino XL, Tech N9ne and Bizzy Bone (of Bone Thugs N Harmony) whom after meeting and hearing the artist with no musical accompaniment in 2002 said; “keep doing your thing, you definitely got the heart and the skill to make it far in this business”. That’s exactly what this artist intends to do. As a soon to be registered ASCAP affiliate switching over from a bad contract with BMI, Prophacy is soon to own his own publishing company and he also has plans on running his own legit indie label in the future. Prophacy is now working hard at getting either a recording or a distribution deal that will help further his music career and provide him with enough income to comfortably provide for his family. Most recently while working towards securing a deal and also preparing for upcoming song releases / live shows, this Midwest indie pioneer released his official debut album “The Descent” which came out the end of 2009 and has already sold over 300 copies independently without any real promotional budget, allowing Prophacy to become a newly accepted artist of iTunes while also allowing him to make bigger business connections with record stores even as far as Japan that have interest in carrying his product (such as Kizara Records and Bout Records). Prophacy has also started working with other artist and producers from a few different countries around the world, earning him a good level of respect in the underground community by fans and his artist peers alike. If you have any sense of the drive and determination that it would take to come from a non-music mecca area like (Omaha, NE / Council Bluffs, IA) which are widely overlooked when it comes to musical talent, I'm sure that you could tell that Prophacy has a good focus on what he wants to do and how he is going to get there. Prophacy has been part of many shows throughout his musical life, 1st performing covers at the young age of six while he was locked up in a children’s shelter due to poor family life, then also to more recent things like opening up for international artists: Tech N9ne, Critical Bill, Bizzy Bone, Paul Wall, Chino XL and many more. Prophacy has also earned acclaim for other various things like reaching the number one spots on list about local artist in the region on sites such as Myspace.com and Reverbnation.com, he was also rewarded for becoming a 1st runner up in the '06 L.A. Music Awards. Aside from performing at numerous events overtime, Prophacy has also released an underground EP which has sold out around the world thanks to “Myspace.com” and “Homersmusic.com”, not to mention his said before listings on “Myspace.com” as one of the most popular artist in his region. Being a man coming from a hard life full of violence, molestation, un-stability and a family that turned a blind eye to him is what fuels Prophacy’s music to be so real and heart felt to any listener. When you hear his music it just has a way of capturing it’s listener to the point where you can almost feel as if you know him personally and have been there with him the whole time. As a true artist, producer and song writer, Prophacy does what his heart and soul tell him, “not silly fads or commercialism” which he feels has begun to ruin this generations music. Taking a risk and not allowing himself to follow the "BLING HOP / DANCE" fads that are so trendy these days, Prophacy chooses to go against the given grain and actually work hard to bring real music with a real message to his listeners.
