The Dave Clark band is a hard hitting melodic rock outfit from MA, consisting of 3 players: Dave Clark on guitar and lead vocals, Shaun Merrill on drums and Dave Stoops on bass and vocals. They are busy writing songs for their first disc that should be out in Fall of 2007. They are also booking summer tour dates. So stay tuned for more info and keep your eyes peeled for the brand new website! Band bio: Dave C. released a solo cd "Changes" in the summer of 2004. He has been performing throughout New England over the past three years as a solo artist, while shopping to labels and publishing. The search for the right musicians seemed difficult at first. There have been a few different players involved. Finally, Dave has recruited drummer Shaun Merrill and bassist Dave Stoops and the bands lineup is now set. About Shaun and Stoops: Shaun hails from Lowell, MA and is a very old pal of Dave C. He has been a staple on the local cover band and original circuit, playing with such bands as Play Rough, Last Laugh, For Pete's Sake, Broken, and currently local cover band Hot n Bothered. He's also done quite a bit of session work with other original bands over the years. His style, powerful sound, and personality will be a great addition to the project. Dave Stoops hails from Somerville and met Dave C. while playing in popular Boston band LABB. Shortly after meeting each other, LABB broke up and Dave asked Stoops to join D.C.B. It took a while but the timing was finally right and Stoops is now a card carrying member. Stoops brings a lot to the table with fresh song ideas and great vocals. Stoops is also a "FORMER" member of popular Boston band Tricycle.
