Hello everyone! I started playing the guitar and harmonica around 1994. I was inspired to begin playing by an old friend, “Key of D John”. John was my neighbor who I coincidentally ran into while on a camping trip. He invited me to his campfire for some “music”. I was impressed. He knew so many songs. Mostly old classic country songs. Little did I know at the time, John had transposed each song into the key of D because he only knew 3 chords! “Key of D John” has since passed on. Although he didn’t teach me to play the guitar, I’ll never forget what he did teach me. He taught me to have fun. Music is fun. Music doesn’t need to be complex to be fun. It simply needs to be sincere and from the heart. I was also influenced by Willie Nelson. Many of his huge hits were simple and to the point. Like “Key of D John” he is sincere and plays from the heart. I got to meet him in 1995. It was a small venue and I got to hang out with him for a little while after the show. This happened purely by chance. Right place at the right time I guess. He autographed a CD and my Gibson Epiphone! He is an incredibly nice, quiet guy in person. He took the guitar out of my hands. As he signed it he said, “Well, what do we got here? An Epiphone.” Fast forward to 2007. I began writing and recording songs in the spare bedroom. The country song called Shorty and was inspired by my “vertically challenged” fiancé and the night I met her. She claims she’s 5’ but I insist she’s 4’11”. I wrote, arranged, programmed, played, sang, mixed and recorded everything. I hope you like my songs. Let me know what you think. Thanks for checking me out! Hark!
