ROADKILL BILL BIRTHPLACE: HAMILTON , ONTARIO, CANADA Roadkill Bill grew up and has lived in the Hamilton area all his life. Roadkill has been married for 27 years, has 3 daughters, 2 lovely grand daughters and a 15 lb. killer shit-poo named McDuff. Some of Roadkill’s interests outside music include auto racing, model car building, golf and snooker. In his life, Roadkill Bill has had the opportunity to travel across Canada and U.S.A. The inspiration from the people and places he has encountered in his travels is evident in the subject matter of his songs. Roadkill Bill has been asked many times about what encouraged him to begin writing songs; he laughs and replies “demons”. Twenty-five years ago he gave up booze and filled the idle times by learning how to play the guitar and write hillbilly country songs. Looking back, Roadkill Bill wouldn’t change his past because the street wise subjects from the School of Hard Knocks gives him great material to write about. Roadkill Bill accredits most of his sound to his good friend and music producer ‘The Krooked Cowboy’, Shawn Brush. Shawn was the person who inspired Roadkill Bill to record his songs and share them with others.
