My name is Rashaad Kareem Freeman. I was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri, my MKA alias (Musically Known As) was created in the year 2001. I first started recording with Yung Suspense just doing hooks which opened up a few other doors for me. I was heard on his track then his brother who does R'B was intrigued by my vocal talents and ability to write. I recorded my first solo track when I was 18, I also was recording tracks with Will Smith MKA Rapshur. That opened up my first performance opportunity which was at Jamaican G's Cuisine where they had open mic nights every Tuesday. In doing so that is how I first met Daz of Daz Entertainment, he was really into my music and added me to his family. Once I hooked up with Daz he opened up many performances for me at places such as Club Mulan's, Grace's Soul Food, Pete's Place, and many others. I also tried out for American Idol a while back but at the time they were in search of a pop artist not just an all around vocalist. My music is and always will be my life but I now have a two year old daughter that I am very proud of she is the main reason I stay motivated in my music so one day when she gets older she can see that anything is achievable if you work hard at it and stay focused. I aspire to work with the greats one day such as R-Kelly, Dave Hollister, Stevie Wonder, and many others. My brother is also someone that made me want to be in music his music group MONIE at one time was a hot item they were on Bet's Teen Summit, in Vibe, and were also on Planet Groove when Rachel Hunter was still hosting. Their song Get At Me was hot which featured Kane & Abel from No Limit. I have been raised around many great singers all my life such as my cousin Sherita Freeman of the Donald Lawrence Tri City Singers, Gennetter Bradley and Derald Conway of the KC Melodaires, who's voice also was on the Five Heartbeats movie he was the voice over for Robert Townsend. My dream is to become a infamous artist someday not just a one hit wonder my music speaks on real life situations like love, pain, stress, and the anguish of relationships, life and many other things wrong in this world. All my music is copy written so please if you take the time out to listen please do just that, do not steal or try to bite my style find your own flavor to wow the world with.
