A multitalented person given special gifts from above, but had to go through the fire of life, being purified and tried like gold, even like clay be shaped by the potter, like a eaglet being cause to fly as the mother stirs up the nest. Gospel Rapper Souljah, had a important choice he had to make in life, it was either a life of hustling on the streets, making moves from town to town,fast money,clubs,sexy women, even record deals.Millenium Souljah was very good in basketball, and grew up with Charles (Bo) Outlaw who is currently playing with Orlando Magic. Growing up Souljah and Bo who was a couple of years older use to play ball at the recreation center called Meadow Cliff in San Antonio,Tx where Souljah just recently did a Gospel Outreach Concert for the Community. There were many temptations that came my way,Soujah says. I know what it is to make fast money,the club scene,riding cadillacs, street fame, but it all just began to play out. There were people from the hood wanting to put money behind me,a record deal waiting from other homies coming up and owner record companies. I use freestyle at the clubs, around homeboys kicking it , high as kite, car filled with so much smoke you might have thought you was in cloud and club at the same time because of the system I had in my car, you could here it blocks away. I can remember going to the clubs, and I just felt like my life was gonna change,I could not really pin point it at the time, but a change was happening slowly, and a hard process and purging of the sin in my life had to come.In other words the process of deliverance from the pleasures of the world. Souljah through the process still went to college to pursue his education, and never gave up, and is now on his way to recieving his B.A.in Communication Arts. During his life there was "a time" that God was calling him,and had no choice but to answer the call. Souljah explains: Man it was amazing God would not leave me alone he was after me like Moses in the Bible, Like Jeremiah,like Isaiah,Ezekiel,Paul. I began to experience dreams and visitations from Angels and I experienced heavenly dreams......All I can say is God is real...Heaven is real..Hell is real. I thank God for saving me, I grew up in church, but there was a time that I back slid in my highschool days. Through it all God still had his hand on my life. It was hard because I use to write one way concerning music, but God changed my speech,my actions, and it was the holyspirit of God that began to open my eyes, and lead me to the knowledge of truth. I began to follow Jesus and carry the cross daily. It was'nt easy but I kept on praying, going to Church, seeking God in the Bible (The word of God).During the process I learned what is was to have a real relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus and to live according to his commandments that brings blessings and removes every curse.He began to show me my purpose in this life, and that was to Glorify him, and reach others with the Gospel of Salvation, to help save the souls of men from going to hell. God wanted to use my gift to reach our generation to show that Music is a powerful gift but it has been used to destroy many people, when it can be used to encourage and bring life to people that they would consider their own lives; to never give up,that there is a better way,there is a purpose to this life. The gift that I have been given is not just music,but speaking,poetry,song writing,play writing,rapping,networking,entrepenureship, being able to reach a people with LOVE and not condemnation concerning the Gospel of Christ Jesus.God does care and he loves you, but sin is what destroys so many people,and sin does lead to death,but the gift of God is eternal life...I thank God that Jesus died for my sins and paid that price so that I could be forgiven,and you can be forgiven as well. Now that God has given me a new life, a new perception, peace,joy,love towards others.I'm helping and encouraging the youth of today, to do good to pray no to give up on life.I purpose to use my gifts of music,outreaching to the community,college shows and concerts,to bring to humanity.Someone has tgo stand up for what's right,someone has to intervene and I'm one of the ones that have been chosen divinely for the task. God had sent me to church's,and to the ones that don't go to Church, because I once was there. I've been through dark times in my life, but I was brought into God's marvelous light and it's much better to be in the light than darkness, so I'm staying in the light of Christ Jesus.....plus why go to hell, when the door to Heaven is open.
