Bio
I first picked up a guitar when i was about nine, and it's been a love hate thing ever since. I remember hearing about the death of John Lennon on the radio, and wondering who he was and why he was so important. Then I saw the Beatles on the telly and understood. [p] I spent the next five years with my fingers all raw and bloody from battling with the fretboard but I got there in the end. I learnt how to write songs, too.[/p]Concrete Hill was one of my earlier efforts; I was sixteen or so. [/p]I spent the next ten years embracing the rock'n'roll lifestyle fully; there were numerous bands and countless towns. Then I started ending up in rehab centres with massive drink and drug problems, playing in squalid dives for cash and on park benches for drink. You can see where this is going.[p]Things have changed now, though. By the grace of God I'm sober and have been for a year or so. So I'm making a bit of music again, on whatever eqipment comes to hand. And what you hear here is some of it. I'm not doing it because I want a record deal, or any of that. I'm just doing it because I've written a lot of songs over the years, and someone might want to hear them. Peace.
