Anouschka is an artist that grows on you. Once you see her live you won't forget her soon. A rebel with a big heart, her musicianship (guitar and piano), and charisma have won her fans from all walks of life. A close listen reveals impressive lyrics and songs with cross over appeal. She has been a trail-blazer for most of her life. She was lead singer in one of Swedens first all girl rock bands. When friends started settling down, she moved to New York with no money, housing or plans except an artistic dream. When she was finally offered a lucrative position after working her way up the corporate ladder, she made an about face to become one of the few female guitar students at Berklee College of Music. She worked hard, won awards and scholarships, and was gigging on a regular basis while completing her studies. She produced her debut EP "Anouschka" and moved to Los Angeles where she was sponsored to study voice with Ron Anderson (legendary voice coach to Stevie Wonder, Madonna, and numerous rock and grunge artists), and acting at Joanne Barron/DW Brown Studios. After a few shady record deal proposals and acting agents, she took a break and moved to Sweden. She started showing up to write songs on the fly at jam sessions, got an electric guitar and started exploring the blues. She hooked up with Chuck Anthony and James Bradley Junior (both have gold albums and world tours in their resumes) and a band for her new songs was born. Studio and sponsors fell into place and she recorded "My Kind of Heartbreak" 16 track analog no gimmicks and edits. Anouschka has a vocal delivery that you either love or hate-like many of her idols such as Dire Straights, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, she relies more on charisma, musicianship, and lyrics than on a studio voice. Tracks from My Kind of Heartbreak have been played in the United States, and in Europe in Folk, AAA, Blues, and Rock stations which confiems its broad cross over appeal. The next career goal for Anouschka and her band is to tour and bring the music home in person since that is her at her best.
