Before I start this short autobiography let me apologize for the quality of these songs, they were recorded live and the quality isn't the best, I have misplaced the original recordings which are much better, when I find them I will post them. I have many more songs but unfortunately they are on the same CDs. My name is Matt, I'm a Jr. to keep from calling me little Matt my grandpa started calling me Jake after his brother Jake, so most of my life I have been called Jake, brother Jake is my stage name how I got it is a long story but I won't go in to that right now. I recorded my first song for my Mama when I was about 10 years old, that was 30 some odd years ago. I've been singing ever since. I like all kinds of music but I like country the best. I like to take other types of music and sing them country style. Sometime they sound pretty good, and sometime they don't. I'm just a poor red neck Texan, that can't afford to pay them fancy uptown recording studios prices so I do the best I can with what I have.
