Born Alexandre Lukusa Mbuyamba, in Kinshasa, DR Congo on 27th October 1987. He moved to London in 1995 at the age of 7 with his mother and his younger brother whilst his mother was pregnant with their younger sibling. At the age of 10, in 1998 Alex lost his father which really forced him as the oldest to be the man of the house. 'I'm only 18 and i feel like I'm 25'. This crooner has been hustling his way into the music industry. At the tender age of 13, he began taking music very seriously by beginning songwriting. At 14 he began pursuing this career with his heart, mind and soul and within a year had formed a five piece band, of four tenors and a base. After many arguments and disagreements a name was finalised ''Emerge''. Alex's dream was beginning to become a reality when at 16 they met a producer who was willing to work with the crooners but before any serious work could be done the group had slowly but surely disbanded. This had upset Alex very much who was trying to keep the band together, he was so scared because despite being one of the lead singers and songwriters of the group, he felt he was not ready to go solo, but after much consultation he got the courage to start again. This time a year ago he began recording and developing his sound and has been solely responsible for writing his music, until this day he has still been working behind the scenes waiting for that opportunity to come out with a BIG BANG!!!
