[b]Meet [i]J. Kenneth[/b][/i] The release of my first album "On Drummond Road" was truely a surprise! Overall, I was just happy to be doing a CD and doing my thang. Now, I'm looking forward to working with other people. "We Can Do This" meaning i.e. An artist such as myself, who doesn't give up and does not have a team or all these followers and agents co-producers and managers, record executives and public relations really fall short and I'm already short I gotta grow at some point. (LOL) I realize I have a tough road ahead of me and I am on this road alone still looking for them peeps. I am looking up though and quickly I found out how much my cd meant to me. I am not suprised that I didn't blow up and really can appreciate that it didn't blow up in my face. I went through some highs and lows and thus far I am still glad I went the route I did. Yeah! I could've done a lot of things different. Ok. I'm still new to this business and do not claim be by no means the star others want me to be. Could I be though? Eventhough, in my mind, I wanna be just that; A star. It's even in one of my songs. "U Wanna Be A Star". Somebody! Anybody? This is not just about me. I estimate there are about 6000 jobs in this Music & Film Industry and Millions of people out there so let's get behind the music people!!! My favorite movie is Rudy and secondly I like Men of Honor w/ Cuba, G. Jr. Television: When I get a chance to watch, I like watching Deal or No Deal, all NFL and NCAA Football, Especially NCAA Basketball, a huge Tarheel Fan, as well as The Golf Channel. I'd like to be on TV one day. I am currently working on a book titled "Spiritual Rhymes of Truth in Time". Which is a table-top conversation poetry piece; that will be covered in a hardback edition with all natural backdrop photographs I have taken throughout my life. I am still wanting to finish the book, however I like music more and YEAH I could finish it but funds are not as easy to come by these days. If you wanna see some of the pages just hit me up and request some of them and I'll send you some reading material that I wrote; with the photo backdrops placement alignment and everything. You can even take a page of the book and place in a frame and put it on the wall as an inspirational piece. It's just like that. (forealdough)Gotta see it to believe it. I got that kinda feel. I am an Artist at Heart. Heroes: Was and always will be My Dad I always wanted to be a ballplayer when I grew up. I still have the elementary book I wrote in school about it! My family and friends thought that was a clown idea. As it turns out, they were propably right, however the choice to follow your dreams isn't to be taken lightly. Never give up. So every now and again, I pick up my B.ball and start playing with friends co-workers and neighborhood kids. So that tells me I don't have to be a ball hog, to be the leader on the court. I make sure we all enjoy the sport. Pass The Ball!!! Hello@*&%$#? In Highschool one of my finest moments in school was when Coach made our basketball team run cross-country as a team sport prior to basketball season. My job was to lead a young mental challenged kid named jonathan through the course and ultimately to the finish line. The race was to complete the race to the finish line. You see that taught me leadership, challenged my character and taught me patience surely gave me a humbled spirt & soul. I may go along my way to live life without fear of hurt or danger in some respect,(meaning working on the highway in speeding traffic without insurance); but i believe that I do not take it for granted, I believe I am just lucky! I got so much out of finishing races with him and really, he was the champion not others on the team! Although the team had several injuries thoughtout the season we managed to lace them shoes and win a conference championship, my senior year! Here's to finishing the challenges we face day to day!
