Bio

Joe Phillips is a Cleveland, Ohio native and has played bass guitar since the early nineties. He has played with various R & B groups throughout Cleveland and other cities. He also plays lead guitar and keyboard, and sings as well. Joe is currently the bass player and band leader with "Afterthought and the Nu-Soul Band", which consists of eight members. Joe's musical influences are: Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, and Andrew Gouche. He's particularly proud of his bass collection, especially his Marcus Miller V and his Spector Euro Bass six string.
