Today there is at least one 10 year old to every 2 city blocks that wants to grow up to be a rapper, but in five years that very child will lose his/her passion and will want to be a Director, a Designer, or even a T.V. Personality. As for SOS, his passion for being an M.C. has stayed strong since 93' and strengthens as he currently works on his debut album entitled "Death to My Opposition". "I WANT TO MAKE A NAME FOR MYSELF FROM THE JUMP, EVERYONE KNOWS THAT FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT" SOS has already made that first impression to a handful of cities and people between running wild in the BX, TO FLO-TOWN(South Carolina), Back to the 914 (KISCO) JUSTIN SIMMONS built a street name SOS THE DON battling anyone who would take the challenge. After he walked away with his first cash prize at a local bar freestyle competitions took his cash straight to a local studio for recording time. There he recorded "Get your face slapped” A southern hit, with a New York twist. He would later perform the recently recorded track as an opening act for South Carolina natives Code Redd at Myrtle Beach (Bike Week); later SOS would perform the same hit at Millennium (Silver Spring) Maryland. After featuring on a "Best of Westchester" mixtape, SOS linked up with DJ Stalin, and with the addition of another local artist Payper, Hood Noise Production was established. This meant much more studio time and mixtape projects. "Light from The Dark" dropped in 2000 and that’s when SOS let people know what he brings to the table as an M.C. with an authentic flow, energy, and word play SOS was taking the necessary steps to warn the public of a star on the rise. After relocating to Maryland and recording close to half of his album tracks, SOS and DJ Stalin began working on their fourth mixtape together. In early January the mixtape entitled “Who is SOS" will hit the streets. With in house production by Dj Stalin and outside production by producers such as Rockwilder, and Stay Paid and Laid's Cuba, and with features from upcoming artist's like Magic of SPL,3MEN2 click, DTO, and CHOSEN FEW's rising star Fuego, SOS plans to let everyone know exactly who he is. Versatility, Energy, Confidence, Vocal Strength, and an Unbreakable EGO. That’s just some of the things that make SOS who he is as an artist. As the stretch to the wrap-up of his debut album nears, SOS will continue to showcase events and feature on as many mixtapes as possible to give people a sample of what they can look forward to in 2007 when the album drops.....
