Born in Santa Ana, California, Francel started singing at an early age with his Pops and Uncle, who were members of the NorthWinds band. A top male singing group, throughout the 70’s, in Orange County. Francel’s Mom was a studio manager with Motown, which further developed his love of music. Francel grew up in Santa Ana, California, and spent a few years in Washington. He was a star athlete in Track & Field and Football, setting many records. Francel received a college scholarship for his football skills to Arizona State. He is also an active member of the American Pool Association, having competed in the International Pool Tournament, held in Las Vegas. Francel is also a strong, competition bowler. Francel has entertained audiences with his “smooth as velvet” voice in California, Washington, Kansas, Arizona, and Nevada. Francel and the Ohio Trio Plus, opened for Leon Hughes and his Coasters recently. at the Avi Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. He brought the audience to their feet in appreciation of his rendition of “One In A Million You”. Francel is also singing in Las Vegas with Ernie Cosse & band, from New Orleans. He is very versatile, providing both intimate evenings filled with beautiful songs and fun, party music for a night of dancing! His voice has been described as powerfully smooth. He effortlessly conveys passion, and love through the songs he sings. Francel is a born entertainer, drawing his audience into the mood of his songs, guaranteeing an enjoyable evening for all.
