Introduction: Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa. Saalim Ismail (born May 3rd 1985) is an independent alternative pop/soul recording artist, creative writer, personal branding specialist, and philanthropist. Entertainment & Musical History: Since starting out at the age of 14 as an entertainer, Saalim gained popularity in the Western Cape through winning several talent contests in the Western Cape, has performed across South Africa at prestige events, shared the stage with some of the countries household names such as, Freshly Ground, Danny K, Loyiso Bala, Heinz Winkler and Emo Adams which are but a few to mention, has digitally released his debut radio hit single "Walking Away" internationally in 2013, and has also been featured in various media. Charity & Philanthropy: Throughout his musical journey, charity has always formed part of his career by supporting several organizations such as; CANSA, Diabetes SA, The Tygerbear Foundation, Woodside Special Care Centre, and Nosh for Josh which are but a few to mention off this list. Education: Saalim qualified at Stellenbosch University for business management, Damelin College for sound engineering and music production, Udemy for personal branding, and life coaching, and Shaw Academy for a diploma in social media marketing, and also leadership and management.
