Music has always been a huge part of my life. My father played guitar and sang in several bands throughout the years. My uncle plays guitar as well. I started playing piano when I was 7 years old and flute when I was 9. Singing was just something I always did, but it was never a major focus until I started high school and in addition to private flute and piano lessons, began taking voice lessons. It didn\\\'t last very long, as private lessons, marching band, concert band, sports, and schoolwork was just too much to juggle. The first song I ever performed solo for an audience was Memory from Cats during a talent showcase my senior year of high school. I also ended up singing our school\'s Alma Mater at graduation with several others. During high school, I started composing using MIDI. I really wanted to write music for video games, as I was, and still am, a huge gamer. Over the years, I lost that passion for creating music. I still played around on the keyboard, but my flute had been banished to the back of the closet. Recently, I have found that passion again for both singing and writing music through a wonderful new friendship and a support group of fabulous people.
