Biography: ‘Lovely, hooky, mellow’ – Acoustic Magazine ‘Gorgeous’ – Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music ‘Tunes that stick in the memory from the start’ – R2 Magazine Tinderbox are an acoustic duo featuring Dublin born Monique Houraghan with a distinctive ‘honey-like’ vocal, and Dan Tucker with an intricate finger style guitar technique. Tinderbox have written and performed original material for over fifteen years. Over the past six years Dan and Monique have played countless headline shows to capacity crowds in Europe & America. Additionally, the duo have supported a selection of high-profile acts including Cara Dillon, Amy Wadge, John Renbourn, Corinne West, Ade Edmondson, Ralph McTell, Jon Allen and Chris Difford to name a few. Tinderbox recently returned from a hugely successful tour of the USA and have since gone on to collect an award for ‘Best European Group’ in Caceres, Spain.
