S.E.X. are rightly known as Welsh underground rock legends. Lead by OTT singer/composer and frontman Phil Jones, the band plays unique and original rock with a twist. In addition to being able to pull a classic cover version out of the bag when needed, the emphasis is strongly on Phil and the band's original material. Ongoing since the early 1980's, the band have built up an impressive back catalogue that includes over a dozen singles, 8 studio albums and a brand new compilation album! Career highlights include:- Two entries in the Australian Radio Charts. A early publishing deal in France, Belgium and Switzerland. London performances in the Marquee, Convent Garden and The Royal Standard. Radio airplay in the US, Ireland, Wales, England, Scotland and Gibraltar. Over 2000 (!) gigs that include supporting legends such as Wishbone Ash, Hawkwind, Eddie and the Hotrods, Glen Matlock and Roy Harper. The first S.E.X release was the cassette only EP 'Lost Virginity' on January 19th 1985. The songs were "Sorry I Loved You", "Violence In F#" and "The Overlord Of Rampant Rock". It went on to sell over 1000 copies at gigs alone! In 2008 S.E.X. toured Japan and in 2009 released their 8th album on the 10th of July entitled 'Scurlage And Jowl'. This album, together with the new 'Sorry I Loved You...' best of CD, is currently available at gigs and via online stores. 2011 will begin to see the band's original albums reissued on factory-pressed CD with improved artwork, remastering and bonus tracks!
