Joey Bakes starting taking piano lessons at the age of 6 years old. At the age of 8 he started taking drum lessons from his elementry school music teacher, Dr. Nigro, who saw a special talent in Joe and preceded to teach Joe to play the Viola, Chello, Trombone, French Horn, and Trumpet. All the while Joe was taking piano lessons, which was focused on Rag Time, Joe started to take lessons on Guitar at the age of 16. At the age of 18, he started playing out with local bands in bars. Joe has had the pleasure to play with Mike McCarron (Drummer) in Prodigy, of which the guitarist was George Bellas, and has been in many bands through out his 28 years of gigging. It would not seem too important to list all of the bands and people that he has played, but he has played with some very talented musicians through out his years, some of which have rose to great heights in the music industry. Joe has been recording at his home in the past year, of which he had taken a break in music 3 years before. His goal is to give people what they love to listen to, and inspire other musicians to excel in their music also. By this way of music, Joe is looking forward to writing with other musicians, and sharing the love of music with all. Takin\\\\\\\' to the street was not really ment to be uploaded for the public, but this was a recording of a live rehursal with my band The Soul Chasers. It didn\\\\\\\'t turn out too bad and I thought \\\\\\\"what the hell\\\\\\\". Again, this was not intended to really represent the band, but to give an idea on how we sound on a live recording. Thought I\\\\\\\'d post \\\\\\\"Just Messin\\\\\\\' Around\\\\\\\", it\\\\\\\'s an idea which words never came to this song, maybe some day? My voice will never been the same because of all of the Smoking I\\\\\\\'ve been doing over the years! Thank God the Smoking has no effect on my ability to play! lol lol Hmmmmm Sometimes ya just need someone to SPARK you! It\\\\\\\'s not really finished but I added Starr Baby. :) I did all the parts on this song in 2 hours, guess I should have spent more time and I will, I just wanted someone to hear it.
