Jamaican Recording Artist/Actor was born in Port Antonio Jamaica and grew up in East Kingston in the city. Inherited the passion and love for music from his father who is a saxophone player. His music repertoire consists of universal reggae styles like dancehall, roots & culture, gospel, lover's rock, jungle, dance, house and calypso. He performs solo sometimes but mostly with his band Buppy & The Uplifters Reggae Band. With his rapid-fire lyrics and stage presence, his infectious reggae style has captivated audiences in Jamaica, Africa, United States and Europe, garnering him critical acclaim and a growing fan base across the countries. He has collaborated with Costi Ionita & Andreea from Bulgaria in Eastern Europe with the “Sahara” project. The 1st song they did called Tyalee made it to #1 spot in first week of release in Bulgaria and on the European Dance Charts. He released 2 independent albums titled “Bupatak” and “Universal Reggae Menu Vol.1” in which many of the songs from his albums can be heard in major motion pictures such as The Fan (starring Robert DeNiro), S.W.A.T. (starring Samuel L. Jackson), Enemy Of The State (starring Will Smith), 7 Seconds (starring Wesley Snipes), Domino (starring Keira Knightly), Hard Luck (Starring Mario Van Peebles & Wesley Snipes).He has also gotten songs on soundtrack like Blade 2 (starring Wesley Snipes). His songs can also be found in many independent films including Tha Eastsidaz (starring Snoop Dog) & HBO Released A State Of Mind to name a few. He has also recorded in Jamaica and collaborated with artists like Mr. Peppa, Oba Simba, and G Blunt. Buppy will be coming out with his next album very soon. He has also collaborated with other international artists and the song Seven Seconds that was used in the film 7Seconds was created in Bucharest with collaboration of Marius Moga & Simplu. Now he is collaborating with a couple other music producers in Romania along with Reggae selectors Zuza Boys and continues with the Sahara Project. He has been consistently capturing audiences in some of the hottest nightspots in Hollywood and southern California. He also participate in annual events like Guinness Sting in Jamaica and charities like Best Buddies of California for the deaf and disabled and A Taste of the Nation benefit for the homeless at Universal Studios. Buppy is just a born entertainer. Acting is also what he loves to do, he has also worked as a personal Stand-In & photo double for the actor Wesley Snipes in many films for the past years. He has also worked as Stand-In for other actors like Danny Glover, Don Cheadle, Samuel Jackson, Forrest Whitaker, Dule Hill, Laz Alonso, Daryl Chill Mitchell and many more actors in the business. You can see his appearances on TV, Stage and in Films. He can be seen in The Wayans Brothers, The Edge, ER & Numbers to name a few TV shows and can be seen in films like Crimson Tide, For The Boys, Blade 1 & 2, US Marshal, 15 Minutes and many more.
