Bio
What do you get when you cross three Albertan rock 'n' rollers and a British ex-pat drummer? DROHAN. Currently based out of Vancouver BC, DROHAN is a four piece rock band that is often compared to The Tragically Hip and The Queens of the Stone Age. Everyone who's seen them comments on their consistently intense live stage presence while still maintaining the ever eroding line between club style danceablity and mainstream rock riffs. Bryce Drohan works the mic and his guitar like a pit bull on a chain, while the machine gun tight rhythm section manned by Rhys Pickup and bassist Jeremy Butler hold down the groove. Throw in Orphan Annie's long legged keyboard style and some classic three part harmonies and you've got music that moves everybody in the audience. The Basement Tapes was their debut Album, and they've just released their self-titled sophomore album, both through I-tunes. Online retailers and indie music champions Reverbnation,(www.reverbnation.com) have charted them in the Vancouver top 10 alternative artist category, as well as top 500 world wide category, since October 2009, and now it seems they've caught the ear of local rock producer/engineer Alex "Condor" Aligizakis. With four music videos now on youtube, and a fifth video on the way, these Vancouver rockers are a must watch for 2010.
