Bio
John Taylor is a graduate of Northwestern School of Music and holds a Masters in Music (M.M.) from Cal State Northridge. He works professionally as both a keyboardist and trumpet player and has toured as trumpet player and section leader with The Charlie Daniels Band. John has had nine songs picked up by 3 music publishers (DSM, Woodrich, and Simply Grand Publishers). His songs were used for TV children’s programs and the outdoor series "Fishing the Emerald Coast" aired weekly. John’s music was featured on college radio station KSPC in Pomona, CA and also on three Internet radio stations (btsradio and XEradio & thestreamradio). John has coordinated their music on the "regular" local radio (KSPC) with public services announcements. A major jewelry/gem (HOUSE OF ONXY) manufacturer is using John’s songs on their nationwide video mailed to customers worldwide. Also a new book “INTERNET, I Didn't Know You Could Do That” has the song ‘Chinese Waterfall’ featured in the CD which comes with the book, published by Sybex Books a major book distributor. This book is being sold nationwide in the USA and also in Western Europe and England and will be translated in foreign languages. Chuck Mangione was John's jazz ensemble and improvisation class teacher at Eastman. John toured for 9 months in the USA and Canada with a major top 10 act "The Charlie Daniel's Band" and was their trumpet player and horn section arranger. John has had band members from the bands of Anita Baker, Woody Herman and Maynard Ferguson, as well as studio session work for Walt Disney Production’s ‘The New Mickey Mouse Club’ TV show and Mattel for an industrial underscore music soundtrack.
