Martin Johnson was born on February 13, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa to Pastor Andrew Johnson and Evangelist Pearl Johnson. Since the womb, the love of music has fulfilled his life. Martin's parents immersed him in the church, whether it was singing the word, directing the choir, or playing one of countless instruments. His God given talents have afforded him exceptionally diverse opportunities in the music industry ranging from his gospel projects to working with such artist as: the late rap artist and Ruthless Records founder Eric "Eazy E" Wright, Ice-Cube,and Charlie Wilson of the Gap Band; to name a few. Years of working and countless performances had built a strong foundation on and off the stage; yet it was not enough. Martin heard a calling in his life which led to a new beginning. As an ordained minister, Martin believes God helps him to preach not only from the pulpit, but to use gospel music to reach out to the world of today. His passion for singing, writing, producing and playing an inexhaustible list of instruments captures the hearts, minds, and souls of all those who listen to his intricate arrangements. Martin feels that it is his privilege to be a vessel of honor blessed by God to sing out and rejoice with the joyful, uplift the weary and return the lost.
